Shortbreads, as suggested by the name, are biscuits made of short pastry. Therefore they are considered medium/high confectionary baked products for their soft crunchiness and delicious butter taste. This type of biscuit is also famous for the production of biscuit sandwiches and it can be baked in all types of ovens, such as: hybrid, radiant cyclothermic and convention ovens. Products range can also be increased by adding the so-called decoration devices. The main shaping machine for this product is the rotary moulder, which can developped by IBL for various production ranges depending on the machine width. The industrial process configuration here described is one of the most commonly used, but on the other hand IBL can provide different solutions based on the customer demand for each individual project.

1. HORIZONTAL MIXER

Designed to form mixtures from crackers, hard biscuits, shortbread biscuits, extruded products and other types of leavened products, it is built in various models with capacities from 200 to 1100 litres.

Hard from the very first bite, these are the ideal biscuits to be dunked into hot drinks.

3. ROTARY MOULDER MACHINE

Independent motorization of the grooved roll feed, roller mould bronze and rubber roll for belt drive, with speed adjustable by inverter. Complete with control panel touch screen.

4. TUNNEL OVEN

This type of biscuit can be baked in all types of hybrid, radiant cyclothermic and convention ovens.

5. COOLING CONVEYOR

Structure is in stainless steel. Foodgrade plastic belt FDA approved. Modular structure for easy assembling. Roller rubber covered for drive belt. Equipped with towing gear box with variable speed.

6. STACKER

The unit is designed to stack the rows of biscuits arriving on the cooling conveyor. It consists of a frame mounted on adjustable feet, a product channelling chute, conveying guides, accelerating conveyor belt complete with automatic belt tracking by mobile guides, second feeding conveyor and final star type stacker.

7. COLLECTING CONVEYOR

Positioned at the end of line production. For recovery stacked and take product for wrapping machines.  Modular structure for easy assembling. Roller rubber covered for drive belt. Equipped with towing gear box with variable speed.
